Lyle Blackburn, Author of The Beast of Boggy Creek: The True Story of the Fouke Monster, has always been fascinated with legends, lore, and sighting reports of real-life ‘monsters’. Not only is he frontman for the outlaw horror rock band, Ghoultown, but also an avid horror movie fan, monster aficionado, and writer. He has studied the phenomenon in legend, fact and film, and is a regular columnist for the Rue Morgue magazine, detailing his research and reporting on his many trips following cryptozoology sightings from the past to as recent as today.

Lyle’s Rue Morgue articles show a fascinating example of the strange and varied ‘creatures’ that are said to exist on and within our planet. While many may pass this topic off as wild fantasy or a devilish imagination, Lyle, and many others, spend much of their free time and expenses in attempting to uncover the mysteries and piece together the provable records and accounts of these secretive beings of unusual depiction.

Many continents or cultures include or have inherited ‘mythological’ and legendary entities such as the Chupacabra, Big Foot, the water dwelling Lochness Monster, and other unusual/paranormal hybrids like Vampires and the Black Eyed Children, to name but a small few. Lyle joins Truth Connections to share his research into The Beast of Boggy Creek and other sightings of high strangeness and highly para-normal significance. He’ll also talk about the horror film industry, and the fact that many truths and half-truths are passed off as Science Fiction, diluting our understanding of actual events. While there is no end to an imagination of creative possibility, what you think might exist, very probably does!
